A full range of client services, tailored to occupied REO.

Our area of practice is limited to post-foreclosure law, but our range of unique services have been tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients in the REO industry, delivering value that only a foundation in post-foreclosure law can provide.

Legal process management.

We provide legal process management services that span the spectrum of post-foreclosure legal matters associated with the occupied REO lifecycle. Through collaboration with our national network of co-counsel, and by working directly with our clients’ existing front-line staff, we provide a single point-of-contact for REO evictions and related legal matters that leverages our unique and extensive experience.

Clients retaining our services in legal process management are able to utilize our innovative Symphony platform to integrate their in-house business functions with ongoing legal process.

We have extensive experience handling a wide variety of property portfolios with varying characteristics: large or small, regional or national, contested or uncontested.

Stripped servicing.

Augmenting our practice in post-foreclosure legal process management, we offer the capability to manage our clients' occupied assets from initial assignment all the way to final disposition: this includes managing cash for keys, and ensuring regular vacancy checks by a client-assigned REO broker. Depending on client preference, our end-to-end management services can actually place occupied assets completely outside of REO, so that the asset isn't put into an REO shop until it is vacant, or otherwise ready to be marketed.

By utilizing our Symphony platform, clients can obtain customizable reports and status updates in real-time - even integrating Symphony into their in-house asset management systems to establish true transparency of data. Clients retain unique control over their occupied assets by using Symphony's rich feature set to reach across the enterprise, and are able to more effectively focus their resources upon marketing and selling their vacant assets.

Embedded outsourcing.

For servicers who outsource REO managemment to a third-party vendor, our range of legal process management services can be 'embedded' into outsourcing contracts at no cost to the primary default servicer. It makes good business sense to have an experienced attorney oversee all REO-related legal process, since occupied assets drive the lion's share of REO loss severity.

An outsourcer's staff typically lacks the legal training and legal acumen required to manage files that vary from standard uncontested norms. Our embedded outsourcing service provides focused legal experience right where it is needed most.

Problem resolution services.

We work with our clients to offer problem resolution services that go beyond managing evictions and their related legal matters. We can help solve complex legal issues involving title curative work, encroachments, title insurance claims, and other similar matters as required by a client on its REO inventory.

When a difficult title-related issue rears its ugly head, it can be difficult to know where to turn for help. Deferring to a title company for problem resolution may mean a long, drawn-out process that does little to solve the problem or reduce the costs associated with it.

Our clients know to consult us for expert assistance that can be tough to find elsewhere. We’re proud to have a history of delivering creative solutions to some of our clients’ most complex legal problems.

On-site training.

It can be costly to train and retain quality asset managers/eviction specialists, but our clients have an additional partner to help defray some of these costs. We can provide in-depth and on-location training and consultative services that help our clients’ front-line staff learn about occupied REO, including the key issues they need to know about in order to manage the occupied REO process more effectively.

California REO legal services.

At our core, we’re still a California law firm. And while we offer our clients a broad range of services tailored for occupied REO, clients can still choose to retain our firm’s services in a more traditional sense. Working with us on your California properties gives you the assurance that your properties are assigned to a firm dedicated solely to post-foreclosure law.

We offer the full range of legal services required by a REO department on its occupied California REO inventory, including:
